David Wilson and BovisHomes held two public exhibitions in 2015 introducing revised proposals for residential development on the site.
A planning application wassubmitted to South Downs National Park Authority in October 2015. The application is for 200 new homes following the demolition of 104 The Causeway, the provision of informal open space, offsite highway and landscaping works.
The proposals accord withthe allocation for the site in the Petersfield Neighbourhood Plan. A great dealof care has been given towards the layout and design of the new proposals toensure that a high quality scheme is delivered which reflects the character ofPetersfield and the site's location in the National Park. The new proposalsinclude an amended development boundary which ensures that all of the landscapeissues associated with previous proposals for the site are fullyresolved.
