Kings Chase South

Kings Chase South is located in the market town of Romsey. The development is ideally located for commuters with strong links to Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury and Bournemouth, and is just minutes away from the beautiful New Forest National Park, local schools and nearby shops. 

An Outline application for a total of 309 dwellings was submitted to Test Valley Borough Council in April 2023. Approval is anticipated in the Spring or Summer of 2024.

The main aspects of the scheme are:

  • 309 new homes, including a range of sizes and tenures to meet identified local need
  • up to 40% in affordable tenures 
  • New road access from Scorey's Crescent/Ganger Farm Way
  • Extensive landscaping and public open space throughout the site, including retained trees and hedgerows, multiple play areas and allotments, as well as a substantial landscape buffer to the eastern boundary adjacent an area of ancient woodland
  • Walking routes around and through the site
  • A sustainable drainage system
  • Ecological enhancement throughout the site

The site is located immediately south of our now-complete Kings Chase (Phase 1) development, which provides a fantastic collection of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes in addition to excellent new sports facilities and pitches.  

The development site is featured in the Draft Test Valley Local Plan 2040 (released January 2024) as one of Four Strategic Housing Allocation. The full document can be found below, with the development site (Southern Area Policy 4: Land South of Ganger Farm, Romsey) outlined on pages 108-110.
